Our hair is actually protein matter called keratin. And news is- what we see on our head, the jungle of protein that we so passionately care about, is actually `dead’. Copper also contains melanin, the pigment that colors hair and skin and can help reverse or delay premature graying. Zinc can also affect the levels of androgens, the hormones involved in some form of genetic hair loss.

Ginkgo Biloba is a very popular herbal remedy, it is said to increase the blood flow to the brain, and therefore improve memory and sharpness. It is also said to be good for preventing hair loss because of the increased circulation to the brain and therefore to the head. It is also believed to increase hair growth.

Green Tea is another very popular herbal remedy. It is an excellent antioxidant, is supposed to control appetite and some herbalists believe it can reduce the risk of male pattern baldness. You can take it in capsule form or drink several cups per day. It makes a good replacement for chilled black tea, said to be the house wine of the south.

Conditioning your hair on a regular intervals also helps reduce hair fall problem. Chamomile is a natural conditioner available in the market. Just take some quantity of Chamomile powder and mix it with some quantity of curd, and keep the mixture for about 2-3 hours. Then apply this mixture on your hair, keep it for 2-3 hours and wash off with plain water first and then shampoo. It conditions your hair naturally and helps reduce hair loss.
