Vienna Attractions
The heart of Vienna is the Innerestadt and at its center point is the Graben; a large square and home to many shops and cafes. At the square’s eastern end is the commanding Stephansdom (St Stephen’s Cathedral).
Hundertwasserhaus - Hundertwasserhaus is situated in Lowengasse and is known to be the most visited site in Vienna. The building is an uncommon artistic creation with trees growing from inside its rooms. Unlike other buildings, Hundertwasserhaus has undulating floors. This unusual building was created by Friedensreich Hundertwasser in the 20th century.
Visitors can tour this city by foot, bike, tram or for a real feel for the city hop on a fiaker (a horse draw carriage)! Must see attractions to stop off at on your travels of the city include the Hofburg Imperial Palace - home to the “Österreichische Nationalbibliothek” (National Library), “Schatzkammer” (Imperial Treasury), “Museum für Völkerkunde” (Museum of Ethnography) and the very popular”Spanische Hofreitschule” Spanish Riding School. While here it’s also worth checking out the unusual collection of butterflies in the palace’s art deco style glass house!
